The Women's Basketball team finished off their regular overall season play 3-20 (2-8 in conference play).  As the fifth ranked team in the Cal Pac the Bobcats will be traveling to Vallejo, CA on Wednesday, February 20th at 7:30pm to take on #4 Cal Maritime Keelhaulers for the first round of the conference tournament.

(MERCED, CA) The UC Merced Women's Basketball team played host to William Jessup University tonight in Cal Pac Basketball action.  Tonight marked the end of regular season conference play for both teams as they head into the conference tournament next week.

Women's Basketball - Fri, Feb. 15, 2013

The UC Merced Bobcats faced off against the Simpson University Red Hawks for the second time on Thursday, February 14th.  In their last meeting free throws were the difference maker as the Red Hawks' 19 of 23 at the line helped secure the victory over the Bobcats' 4 of 6 with a final score of 60-53. For the Bobcats, Shelby Howard had 27 points, while Adrienne Carmona had 9 points and 6 rebounds. For the Red Hawks, Nichole Jones had 13 points, while Madison Cox and Kaitlin Weckerle each had 10 points on the night.

The UC Merced Women's Basketball team took the trip north to Atherson, CA on Saturday, February 9th to take on undefeated (in conference) Menlo College Oakes.  In their last meeting this season the Oaks defense was too much for the Bobcats and Menlo rolled onto a 73-54 victory.
