The University of California Merced women's basketball team caught fire in the first half Thursday night against Pacific Union College. The Bobcats shot a blistering 52% from the floor, including 50% from deep, on their way to a huge 41-19 halftime lead that they never let slide, leading the way for an 82-44 conference victory.
For the first time in program history the University of California Merced women's basketball team is above the .500 mark during the season. Entering Saturday night's matchup with visiting William Jessup, the Bobcats had never at any point had more wins than losses in a season, but a convincing 82-49 victory changed that in a big way for the team.
Tough losses often propel teams to hard-fought victories, and such was the case Tuesday afternoon for the University of California Merced Women's basketball team.
The University of California Merced Women's Basketball team dropped a tough matchup with nationally ranked Westmont College Monday night in the opener of the Westmont College Classic. The Bobcats out-shot, and for the most part out-defended the host Warriors, but ultimately fell agonizingly short of the comeback, falling 64-63.
