Merced, CA – UC Merced Athletics is proud to announce Albert Martins' hiring as the inaugural Head Men's Soccer Coach.  

(San Jose, CA.)  UC Merced Women's Basketball has announced the signing of Presentation High School (San Jose, CA) guard, Courtney Danna, to a letter of intent.  Danna, a 5'6" guard, is a two-time West Catholic Athletic League selection, where she guided her team to a pair of Central Coast Section (CCS) C.I.F. Division II Championships (2011, 2013).

(Atherton, CA) The post-season awards keep piling up for UC Merced men's basketball player, Aki Chambers, as he was named to the NAIA Men's Basketball All-American Third Team as announced by the NAIA National Office in Kansas City. The 6'3" Chambers, from San Anselmo, CA, is the first Bobcat in school history to achieve All-American status.

(MERCED, CA) Members of the Women's Volleyball team took their Sunday morning to lend a helping hand in the Merced community.  The team volunteered at the 2^nd Annual Merced Honey Bun Run which was held on Sunday, February 10, 2013.  The race (1k Kids Run, 5k Run/Walk and 10k Run) started and finished at Bob Hart Square in downtown Merced.
