(Merced, CA.)  The UC Merced Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Megan Swann as Head Coach of women's soccer.  Swann, a graduate of Vanguard University is hired to direct the first year varsity program beginning competition in fall 2012.

(Oxnard, CA.)  UC Merced Men's Basketball has announced the signing of Devin Fountain to a letter of intent.  Fountain, a 6'4" swingman, was a four-year starter for Newbury Park High School and two-time All-Marmonte League selection.

(Menifee, CA.)  The UC Merced Athletics Department has announced the signing of 6'2" post player, Nelly Kilpatrick, to a letter of intent.  Kilpatrick, from Heritage High School in Romoland, CA, was recruited heavily by a number of schools before choosing to play for the Bobcats.

MERCED, Calif. -- The UC Merced Women's Club Soccer team will be competing in their final competition of the season at the Women's College 7 v 7 Soccer Tournament hosted by Menlo College.  Saturday's tournament will mark the end of one era but also the beginning of a new one for Women's Soccer at UC Merced.
